Breakaway for Windows Systems improves the quality of the listening experience by digitally remastering audio in real-time with the same technology used by the pros in the music and broadcast business. Any media player playlist can sound like a professionally produced CD with automatic adjustment of volume dynamics and spectral balancing.

Breakaway for Windows System incorporates state-of-the-art 4, 5, 6, or 7 band dynamics processor (depending on selected preset) that examines and adjusts the audio thousands of times a second. Low levels are intelligently raised and loud signals are kept under control, all in real-time. Anything playing in the media player or web browser, including MP3s, Video, Internet radio, or CDs will be digitally remastered for consistent volume level and spectral balance. Files are not scanned or modified. All the audio processing takes place in real-time while the audio is sent to your speakers or headphones.

With Breakaway for Windows Systems there is no longer a need to purchase separate audio enhancement plug-ins for each of your media players. Breakaway for Windows System will enhance the audio for all Windows audio & video players. It provides 2-channel stereo audio processing for the complete computer system.

Compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Vista (32 & 64 bit), and Windows 7 (32 & 64 bit).

Amazing! Just Amazing. May 30, 2010

I have been a radio Chief Engineer for over 5 years and use the base Breakaway processor to process my web streams. It is simply an AMAZING program.
I plan to build a computer to run Breakaway Broadcast and put it on the air on a top 10 market AM station soon.

Offers a huge amount more space and presence to litening on my computer based system.  Audio runs into a Denon compact system with good bookshelf speakers.

Seriously considering adding a PC to the main system downstairs which will definitely have Breakaway installed.

Top value too.

No words could describe how good this thing is. Seriously, if you have not downloaded the demo... Please let do so and let this review of mine echo it.

The sound, ease of use... gosh, nothing comes close... Look no further. I'm still very much surprised that it's made available for just under $30 though.

Thanks for a great and inexpensive product.  Have used all kinds of limiters and compressors in the past,  and have tried multiband units used in broadcast, but found them hideously expensive.  I stumbled across the Audio Enhancer while browsing one night, and it is now part of my media center.  Very nice, very smooth, and very versatile.   Congrats.

Vista OP/ Intel Duo;
I had tried all the Audio Enhancer's out there , all conflicting with Vista; then I came upon this Jewel-BREAKAWAY Audio Enhancer.  Works well with Vista. Sounds great and the only one I'll ever use.
